A super typhoon is approaching Japan, threatening to batter its capital Tokyo with its worst storm in 60 years.
Typhoon Hagibis is set to make landfall on Saturday, but has already sparked major disruption. The Rugby World Cup has already seen the cancellation of two matches, while flights and train services have been halted as the country braces for winds of up to 159mph and two feet of rain.
The storm could be the strongest to hit Tokyo since 1958 and the Japan Meteorological Agency said people should brace for high waves and storm surges.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ordered his cabinet ministers to do their utmost to secure people's safety.
