
Sunflowers were in full bloom at the Narita Yume Farm in Narita, Chiba Prefecture, on Wednesday, charming visitors with a summer landscape under the hot sun.
The farm times the planting of its seeds so flowers will bloom at different times, one after another. A maze created with the hybrid sunflower variety, which grows tall, is a popular attraction among visitors. The maze will be open through late August.
Amid the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Narita Yume Farm has taken steps to prevent the "Three Cs" -- closed spaces, crowded places and close-contact settings -- such as distributing numbered tickets to visitors at some facilities.
