January signing explains difference between Liverpool FC and Man City

New Liverpool FC signing Joe Hardy believes his time at Manchester City was more intense than his short spell so far with the Merseyside club.

The 21-year-old was targeted by Liverpool back in the summer transfer window but there wasn't enough time to complete the move.

His switch from Brentford was made official in January for an undisclosed fee.

Hardy featured from Tranmere Rovers before joining City and admitted his time on Manchester was a lot more intense than his current situation.

"It was a lot more intense and specific," he said when asked about his spell with the Blues.

"The games plan was completely different, we travelled abroad a lot so as a youngster that was perfect and I was loving it.

"I then joined Brentford halfway through my U18 season."

Hardy made his senior debut for Liverpool during the FA Cup fixture against Shrewsbury Town and expressed his delight at moving to Anfield.

He added: "It was amazing and if there is one team you would want to sign for at this minute it would be Liverpool.

"The fact it is also back home is perfect and ideal for me.

"All of my friends are all Liverpool fans as well. I'm loving it and I've settled in easily."
