Wilfried Zaha has got some Arsenal fans excited this afternoon (Sunday) after sending a message to his international team-mate Nicolas Pepe.
The Crystal Palace star provided the assist for Arsenal's record signing to score from close range in Ivory Coast's 3-1 win against DR Congo in an international friendly yesterday.
Zaha bamboozled his opponent with some fancy footwork, before playing the ball to his team-mate to finish from close range with an instinctive flick, with some fans describing it as "world class" .
The goal got Arsenal fans talking last night (Sunday), while Pepe, who signed for the Gunners for £72million this summer, added footage of the goal to his Instagram story , after it had been uploaded to the social media site by Corinne Pepe.
Zaha has now responded to his international team-mate, with the Palace ace taking to Twitter to send a message to the former Lille man.
He wrote: "You're welcome Nico."
And his message has sparked a reaction from Arsenal fans again today, with Zaha having been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer.
The Gunners had a bid turned down by Palace for the 26-year-old, with a move failing to materialise, despite Zaha submitting a transfer request towards the end of the window.
But with speculation continuing over Zaha's future, some Arsenal fans are getting excited about his message for Pepe, as can be seen below.
