Scots comedian Janey Godley shared footage from her tour when she could feel the symptoms of undiagnosed cancer while performing on stage.
The Glasgow born talent had to cut short her tour after revealing her diagnosis on Twitter from her hospital bed.
The 60-year-old has told how symptoms she was suffering just a fortnight ago which made her seek medical attention.
Alongside a video of herself performing on stage she wrote: "Two weeks ago, onstage I felt bloated, kept peeing, could hardly eat anything, had stomach pains laser round my torso and carried on with the tour- until I decided to get checked out.
"I have Ovarian Cancer - don’t ignore the symptoms @OvarianCancerUK thank you NHS."
Janey pleaded with fans not to ignore symptoms and get themselves checked out.
The comedian, well-known for her Nicola Sturgeon impressions during lockdown, was forced to cut her tour short after the shock diagnosis.
She was due to perform her final weekend in Edinburgh and Musselbrugh.
She posted on Twitter on Friday: "Sorry but my last weekend of the tour can’t go ahead in Edinburgh and Musselburgh as I am in hospital with ovarian cancer – look after each other. #MentalHealthMatters”
Janey is now out of hospital and revealed she is due to get more treatment on Wednesday.
She said: "I am home before treatment starts next Wednesday, I want to thank everyone and I mean EVERYONE who has sent me good wishes, this is some love going out to everyone faced with a terrifying diagnosis- can’t thank the NHS in Glasgow enough for their kindness."
