Janey Godley says cancer left her struggling to eat Christmas dinner

Janey Godley says her cancer left her struggling to eat Christmas dinner.

The Scots comedian, who went viral over lockdown with her Nicola Sturgeon voiceover videos, is set for surgery in January.

She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November and will undergo a hysterectomy in the coming weeks.

The star, who admitted she is terrified of having her operation, has kept fans updated on her progress since her diagnosis.

She decided to tell them what Christmas Day was really like for her after suffering some related symptoms.

She said: "Because of 'Bunty the Tumour with the Humour' I can’t eat much, so one roast potato and a wee bit of beef Wellington and I am STUFFED."

She added: "I can’t wait to get Bunty out of me in January so I can eat a whole dinner for my birthday on Jan 20."

Janey's operation was put back seven weeks after she contracted Covid-19 shortly after her diagnosis.

Last week the comedian thanked her friend Giovanna Eusebi with a flash mob choir for helping to feed her and providing support for her.
