Janey Godley's hilarious Nicola Sturgeon farewell voiceover as she steps down as First Minister

Janey Godley has created a hilarious Nicola Sturgeon farewell voiceover which fans have hailed as "f****** class".

Three years ago, the Scots comedian created her first video where she put her voice over a clip of the First Minister's daily briefings about Covid and how it was impacting the country but changed it to a witty, slang sketch with became a highlight of lockdown for many.

And yesterday, as Nicola Sturgeon made her final Holyrood speech, Janey decided to create one last video as she heads 'doon the caravan'.

Sharing the clip to her thousands of followers, Janey wrote: "Pure excited, we’re gonna do ABBA tributes round all the wee local pubs now I am free”.

On a clip of Nicola speaking to the press after her final speech in Holyrood. Janey said: "I am pure excited! That's me finished that was my last day and the thing is I've got a lot of boxsets to catch up on - I heard Breaking Bad was good!

"I mean I've no even seen anything on Netflix, then me and Peter are going to head doon the caravan wi big Janette, Sandra, Clare McNamee, the whole gang of us!"

She added: "I'm gonna get my sling backs on, we're goin to do our Abba dances and I love my Abba! So we're gonna tour all our wee social clubs and that!"

And fans were loving the video. One wrote: "F*****g class!"

Another added: "Love it Nicola will miss your voice over as we all will."

While one said: "Brilliant. Will miss your Nicola voiceovers."

And one said: "Janey, you're a genius. Absolutely dead brilliant, so you are."

And one commented: "omg so funny sling backs caravans and Abba songs."

Another wrote: "Laughed so hard."

Janey became so well known for her Nicola Sturgeon voiceovers she won Best Online Content at the Scottish Comedy Awards.

In October 2020, the comic and politician teamed up for a hilarious sketch in aid of the STV Children’s Appeal.
