Janey Godley returns to Glasgow saying 'I am home' as she finishes final tour

Janey Godley has returned to Glasgow alongside her daughter, Ashley Storrie, marking the end of their 'Not Dead Yet' tour.

Taking to social media, the 62-year-old thanked everyone for making it happen and for showing nothing but support for the duo.

Posting a video to Instagram the Glasgow comedian said: "That's us back and finished the tour - we done it. I don't know how many dates Ashley and I have done.

"We are in London and we're heading home back to Glasgow. I want to thank every single person who bought every single seat on every single theatre on this tour.

"We did three night and the Leicester Square Theatre...the bags are packed and we are good to go.

"Thanks everyone online who sent their support and kept us afloat."

Blowing a kiss to the camera, she turned to Ashley saying: "We're heading home Ashley, we're done" with the pair both yelling "woo" and ending the video.

The comic later uploaded a picture of her back in Glasgow captioning the picture "I am home."

Taking to the comments of both the video and the latest photo, people were quick to wish the comic well and thanking her for being an inspiration.

One said: "You’re an inspiration. Travelled to London to see you last night and wouldn’t have missed it for the world! A memory I will cherish. Take care."

Another added: "You were both amazing Janey thankyou xxx."

"I came to see you in Musselburgh and you and Ashley were hilarious from start to finish. Wishing you both a safe journey home and lots of love to you both x" said a third.

The end of her comedy tour comes shortly after she took to Twitter last week saying: "Seems I am writing a new book!"

In response to the hints about another book in the works, with her already having released two - the third book is sure to be another hit - and people are keen to get their hands on it after replies to her tweet we're once again full of support.
