Janey Godley has revealed she had to make an emergency trip to hospital after suffering deep pain around her tumour.
The 60-year-old, who last month revealed she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, needed an emergency visit to investigate her kidney function after being left in agony over the weekend.
The smiling Scots comic yesterday posted a picture from her hospital bed as she updated followers on the latest development.
Janey is booked in for hysterectomy in January if all goes well to remove her tumour, which she has named 'bunty'.
She announced on Twitter: "Emergency overnight hospital visit, to investigate kidney function after deep pain around large tumour on my ovary.
"Everything stable and still on for hysterectomy in Jan if “Bunty The Tumour” ( yes that’s her name) stays still and doesn’t play games with my innards thanks NHS.
"I like calling my tumour Bunty, it’s affectionate, she’s part of me and I grew her, albeit against my will, she will be getting evicted soon and I will say goodbye to her and hopefully make a full recovery thanks NHS for all your care during these trying times."
Janey has since been allowed to return home, but later posted a personal thank you to the medics and staff who have been treating her since the terrifying news was given to her.

She added: "I can’t thank the Scottish NHS doctors enough who work through the night to look after people.
"The patience, dignity and humour they have shown this daft petrified worried woman with a cancer lump will stay with me forever.
"Thankfully my kidneys were fine and I got to go home.
"Watching the staff this morning help a wee lady into the shower, they chatted and cajoled her all the way through and I literally wept tears at her laughing and loving the assistance.
"What amazing staff the NHS in Glasgow have."
Janey started treatment last month and has thanked everyone sending her well wishes, which include Nicola Sturgeon who sent 'thoughts and strength'.
It came after Godley uploaded an emotional video on Twitter, telling followers how she had 'cried and cried' over the news.
She said: "I'm really sorry I can't make the Musselburgh and Edinburgh shows this weekend, it's the very last dates of the tour and the tour has been so brilliant and so well attended and successful.
"Unfortunately while I was doing the tour I, unbeknownst to me, had ovarian cancer.
"I want to thank everyone for all their support and all their help and for coming out and sharing so much laughter with me.
"Onto the next step of the journey, and what is that journey?
"But I'm going to use science, and technology and I'm going to try and cope with this next step of my journey."
Godley has urged anyone with symptoms to get them checked out.
