Scots comedian Janey Godley has once again hit out at trolls who target her online and said they probably do it because they have 'never known love'.
The 60-year-old is best known for her hysterical voiceovers of Nicola Sturgeon's daily coronavirus briefings but not everyone seems to enjoy them.
Janey is targeted by anonymous trolls who send her abuse online daily and the thick-skinned comedian often hits back at them.
But now, the funny woman has posted the real reason why she thinks she's often trolled.
Last night, she posted a picture of her and her late dad cuddling, and she wrote: "When I come online and see yet again anonymous men sending me sh**e, I remember I am loved. My daddy loved me and I miss him everyday and I wonder if the reason some men #notAll send me hatred is because they never knew love like this. I am lucky aren’t I?"
And many of her fans replied to her post offering their support.
One said: "Janey you are loved by so many of us. I thank God I found you. I was stuck at home not only on my own in lockdown, but had major surgery on my right hand. Was soul destroying. Reading all of your jokes, videos etc. On Facebook (top fan), on here and twitter mad me bellylaugh."
Another penned: "I lost my dad to covid, in October 2020. My dad, like yours, was the best. I think men who are sending you sh**e, are intimidated because you are strong and real. Don't change that...real men are loving, like your dad. x
One fan wrote: "Oh janey. You make my day. I love seeing your posts and your commentary. They make my toes tickle. The more wonderful a person is sadly the more potential there is for people to be mean. You're loved and brilliant and that's that."
While one added: "I cannot understand these people. And I think I am happy that I don't. I just want you to know that you're f'ing hilarious and please never stop. I know the voices of the numpties are loud but the quiet majority are over here laughing, at your wonderful humour and their idiocy."
After her post, a man wrote under a Daily Record story about one of her voiceovers: "She's about as funny as a death at a birthday party."
And Janey was quick to reply, sharing her previous post with the man and said: "For you (heart emoji) with love."
Just last week, Janey had the internet in stitches with her 'bingo mad' Nicola Sturgeon voiceover.
The funny clip was in relation to the FM's coronavirus announcement regarding most of Scotland moving to level 2.
