Janey Godley has hit out after being 'blamed' for the 'sexually aggressive behaviour' of male comics.
The Scots funny woman claims she as been personally 'called out' multiple times after men in the industry were exposed for inappropriate behaviour.
The social media star says she has been accused of not 'saying anything' about predators' actions after sharing a stage with them.
But Janey insisted she either had no idea or was immediately threatened with lawyers 'shut up letters' when she did speak out.
The 59-year-old, who was abused as a youngster, says she is 'disgusted' by women being blamed for men's actions.
She says 'men who are accused' of offensive actions should be the only ones having a finger pointed at them.
Janey tweeted: "Anytime a male comic was called out or exposed for their sexually aggressive behaviour, there’s been a few, people would say to me 'why didn’t you say anything?
"This is your fault, you worked with him' I was completely unaware and when I did speak it out one set lawyers on me.
"To assume it’s the fault of the women who shared a stage with comics who have been named or charged with sexually offensive behaviour and not blame the men who are accused is disgusting - I successfully took a man to court for abusing me- ask the man in question don’t blame women.
"The cloak of silence and fear of legal papers keeps women quiet, but stop blaming people who didn’t know and when they did know got served lawyers 'shut up letters'"
