Janey Godley has fans in stitches over hilarious take on Nicola Sturgeon's mask speech

Twitter users were left in stitches today after comedian Janey Godley remastered Nicola Sturgeon 's speech about protective masks.

In the hilarious clip, which has been watched online by over 120,000 people, Janey creates a voice over on top of a video of the First Minister giving a speech about PPE in Scotlands.

She says: "We're going to be talking about face masks today and covering up yer mooth when yir hinging about the supermarket.

"When you have to go oot cover up that big hole in front of yer heid, that's aw I'm saying."

And fans were grateful for a bit of light-relief during this difficult time. One said: "Absolutely fantastic. You made my day. Howling at this."

Another wrote: "I can’t watch Nicola without hearing your voice. Thank you for doing these, you’re bringing a lot of people a lot of joy in these sh**** times."

And this is not the first time Janey has poked fun at Nicola Sturgeon's speeches as she did the same thing last month and luckily Ms Sturgeon seen the funny said.

The First Minister was quick to note that the tone used was not befitting of someone in her office, but appreciated the good that humour can do in these challenging times.

She tweeted: "I would *never* use language like this, obvs - but we could all do with a smile just now. And if humour helps get the message across..."
