Janey Godley divides the internet with 'Mince on Toast'

Scots funny woman Janey Godley has divided the internet by posting a picture of her dinner online.

Last night on Twitter, the 60-year-old posted a snap of a plate of toast, mince, peas and onions and many were outraged by her choice of dish.

She posted the picture with a caption: "Mince in toast" and many were calling for Gordon Ramsay to get involved to rate her plate.

One said: "Janey - I love you but mince on toast is just wrong - I wouldn’t want to slap you for it but it’s a travesty."

Another added: "That sound you hear is Ramsey, closing all his eateries, knowing he will never, ever, be able to compete with the Scottish lass."

One tweeted: "I might have to unfollow you for this!"

Some were outraged by the way she had chopped the onions: "Chunky onions is a hell no! but I do love dipping my bread n butter In my mince n tatties. But surely it's mince on toast or mince and toast."

But some said the dish was totally acceptable.

One said: "Janey Godley, this has made my day . My wife and daughters genuinely believe that I am the only person who eats this. They don't believe me, that it is an old family favourite. I am sending them your tweet. Genuinely excited. Thanks."

Another added: "Pretty much anything goes on toast."

While one wrote: "That looks delicious!"
