Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen has admitted that he faces some tough decisions over the next few months with his future at Spurs uncertain.
The centre-back only has a few months remaining on his current contract at Spurs, though the postponement of all football amid the coronavirus pandemic has thrown plans in the air.
There is rumoured to be interest in the Belgian international from the likes of Napoli, and Vertonghen says that he is unsure about what will come next, with a number of decisions to be made.
"I'm in a process right now that I have to grab a piece of paper and write down the pros and cons of the options I will have soon," Vertonghen told De Kleedkamer via Sport Witness.
"I will really have to decide what I want in my career. In three to four years, I will normally return to the place where I will likely settle down.
"I have to start thinking about where I still want to live, what language I want to learn, what culture I still want to live in. And also very importantly: which competitions and prizes I still want to win. I don't want to regret anything in my career."
Vertonghen has been at Spurs for eight years after joining the club for a fee of £11.25million back in 2012. He has had a distinguished career in North London, captaining the side on many occasions.
