Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen has dropped a huge hint on social media about signing a potential new contract in north London.
The Belgian defender made the move to White Hart Lane in 2012, but his current contract runs out at the end of the current season.
The 32-year-old was left out of the opening fixtures of the season by Mauricio Pochettino, but has started the last two matches in the Premier League against Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
With Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld also nearing the end of their contracts, Spurs face the prospect of losing three huge stars on free transfers next summer.
However, Vertonghen has hinted on social media that he wants to sign a new contract. The centre-back 'liked' a post on Twitter following the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace asking if a new contract was going to be signed.
Rumours in the past week have stated that Vertonghen has made up his mind on staying at Spurs, and wants to sign a new one-year extension.
Vertonghen will turn 33 before the end of the season, and Spurs will understandably not see the defender as a long-term candidate in defence, with the likes of Davinson Sanchez staking a claim for a place alongside Alderweireld.
