Jan Vertonghen has heaped praise on Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson, describing him as 'the best left-back in Europe'.
The Spurs defender faced up against Robertson 11 days ago in the Champions League final, and faces him again this evening as Belgium host Scotland in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The last battle between the two went in Liverpool's favour as the Reds came away with a 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the Champions League final, and Vertonghen didn't hold back in praising Robertson's displays in both domestic and continental competition.
He said, "He's been unbelievable this season. He's probably one of the best left-backs in Europe at the moment.
"He played a great final and did so well in the Premier League. All those assists and his overall contribution, he's a great player."
