Jammu & Kashmir: Army organizes Mobile Medical Services in remote Nowshera

JAMMU: To commemorate 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' and facilitating door to door medical services to the village populace in remote area of Bareri, Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, Indian Army on Sunday organized a Mobile Medical checkup services, army spokesperson said on Sunday.

PRO Defence Jammu Lt Col Devender Anand said: "The Mobile Medical Unit team which provided medical help comprises Medical Officers and Nursing Assistants.

"During the mobile medical services, the Indian Army medicos not only examined and distributed free of cost medicines on requirement basis but also educated people about the symptoms and cause of spread and how to prevent the spread of Covid-19."

Col Anand said, "The door-to-door health checkup of old aged persons and children as well as distribution of necessary vitamin supplements for womenfolk was seen as a relief event benefiting one and all."

"The villagers of village Bareri thanked the Indian Army for the initiative and requested for continuation of assistance through similar activities," he added.
