JAMMU: One person was killed and six injured when a car they were travelling in met with an accident in Kalidhar of Reasi District of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Police said the accident took place today at 0100 hrs at Kalidhar when one Eco car No (JK11B-2928) met with an accident after the driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve.
"one person died in the accident while six others sustained injuries'
"Police and locals immediately launched the rescue operation and shifted the injured to the nearby hospital at Chouki Choura from where the injured were referred to Govt Medical College Jammu for specialised treatment."
As per police, the deceased has been identified as Mohd Javed (30), son of Abdul Aziz a resident of Surankote, Poonch while the injured have been identified as Mohd Hafiz (22) of Surankote, Poonch; Wasim Anzum (18) Kotranka Rajouri; Mohd Taj (25) of Surankote, Poonch; Mohd Arif (22) of Poonch; Zaheer Ahmed (22) of Poonch and Amir (19) of Rajouri.
Concerned police have registered a case and started investigations in this regard.
