JAMMU: As a part of Congress party's nationwide series of “Mehngai Pe Charcha”, the , Jammu nad Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) organized a function on 'price rise' at border town R S Pura on Sunday.
As per Congress party, the nationwide proagramme i.e. 'Mehngai Pe Charcha' shall be held in all assembly constituencies from August 17-23 and will culminate in 'Mehangai Par Halla Bol' mega rally at Ramlila Maidan in national capital on August 28.
JKPCC general secretary and former MLA Thakur Balwan Singh along with former MP T S Bajwa and others led Mehngai Pe Charcha at RS Pura which was organized by JKPCC SC Cell Chairman Karan Bhagat.
JKPCC leaders addressing on the occasion, said that the Modi government came to power by making false promises on the issue of inflation, foreign policy but but it failed on every front and people are suffering badly.
"Congress will continue to mount pressure on the Central government if the rising inflation is not controlled, they said, adding, "due to the inflation, cost of living is increasing and it is pinching everybody hard."
"Common man is struggling to survive. Congress will continue to spread awareness about these anti-people policies among the people and increase pressure on the BJP government to change course," they said.
They also accused the central government of making the lives of people miserable and betraying people.
