JAMMU: The security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on Saturday after a suspicious movement was seen in the general forest area of Surankote in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said, "The search operation by the Army, police and Special Operation Group (SOG) was launched in Chamrer and Gangna Top in the Buflaiz sector around 0600hrs after suspicious movement was noticed in the area."
Sources said that the search party also opened speculative fire but got no retaliation.
"Meanwhile the reinforcements have been rushed to the area for conducting a thorough search operation cum combing operation", they said.
Sources added that the operation is in progress and more details are awaited.
