One of Washington’s top play-makers will no longer be playing for the Redskins next season.
It was announced on Monday afternoon that WR Jamison Crowder agreed to a deal with the New York Jets for three years, $28.5 million. The deal is said to have $17 million guaranteed.
Crowder’s 2018 season with the Redskins was plagued by injuries, but he was productive while on the field, averaging 13.4 yards per reception over nine games.
He missed seven games from Week 6-12 with an ankle injury.
With the re-signed Quincy Enunwa and second-year QB Sam Darnold at the helm, the Jets will look to boost their offensive numbers and spread the field with play-makers.
In his absence, the Redskins are now left with a gaping hole at the WR position, and a growing need to address in free agency.
