Jamie Redknapp outlines Man Utd's advantage over Chelsea in Champions League race

Manchester United's fixture list gives them the advantage over Chelsea and Leicester in the race for the Champions League according to Jamie Redknapp.

The Red Devils are in red hot form but also have several winnable games coming up.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have not lost since January with the influence of Bruno Fernandes pivotal.

Just three points separate Leicester in third from United in fifth, but the Foxes have struggled for results in recent times.

Chelsea meanwhile still have games to come against champions Liverpool and high-flying Wolves.

All of which means Redknapp expects United to end the season in third place and secure a return to Europe's top table.

“Chelsea’s fixtures certainly look winnable. They’ve got two tricky fixtures – Liverpool away and then Wolves at home could be a big one as well," he told Sky Sports.

" Manchester United have got dream fixtures up to Leicester City away. Leicester’s fixtures are difficult.

“If you could have anyone’s fixtures there you’d probably choose Manchester United’s right now.

"I think Manchester United [are in pole position], looking at those fixtures and with the form they’re in. You look at Mason Greenwood and the impact Bruno Fernandes has made at that club, it’s been phenomenal.

“I think it will be Manchester United, Chelsea and then Leicester.”

Solskjaer has seen his side score 11 goals in their past three outings which has helped them pick up maximum points.

United's trip to Leicester on the final day of the season could prove crucial while Chelsea host Wolves on the same day.
