Jamie Redknapp names the one Spurs player who 'makes a mistake in every game'

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp was highly critical of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga as they fell 1-0 behind to Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Spurs have the chance to move into the Premier League’s top four ahead of Chelsea’s game with Arsenal on Sunday, but they made the worst possible start against the lowly Canaries.

Jose Mourinho’s side fell behind to Mario Vrancic’s opener in the 18th minute, and could have found themselves further behind when Teemu Pukki had seemingly added a second just after the half-hour mark.

Spurs’ blushes were saved on that occasion as VAR intervened with another controversial call, with the Finnish striker being ruled offside by the barest of margins.

Jose Mourinho: Harry Kane is fantastic

Nevertheless, Tottenham remained behind at half-time, and – speaking as part of Sky Sports’ coverage of the game – former Spurs midfielder Redknapp was highly critical of the part played by Gazzaniga, as well as some of his team-mates.

"I think [Paulo] Gazzaniga has to do better as well," Redknapp told Sky Sports.

"I think [Toby] Alderweireld has to close the ball quicker. [Juan] Foyth, every time I watch him, he makes a mistake that costs Spurs a goal. He's got to learn the basics, keep it simple.

“It's a poor mistake, [Tanguy] Ndombele as well, it's a catalogue of mistakes."

Having been one of the players blamed for the opener, Foyth was promptly hauled off by Mourinho at the break as part of a double change.

The Argentine was replaced by Davinson Sanchez, while Lucas Moura came on for Jan Vertonghen.
