Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has backed Liverpool to claim the Premier League title this season.
Jurgen Klopp's side were pipped to the title by Manchester City last season, in one of the most intense and thrilling title races seen in the competition.
But despite City chasing a third successive title, Redknapp, a former captain of Liverpool, has backed the Reds to come out on top in another tight campaign.
“After missing out on the Premier League title by a single point to Manchester City, he re-motivated his players and made sure they did not miss out on being crowned champions of Europe,” Redknapp wrote in the Daily Mail.
“That was Klopp’s first trophy with the club and I suspect more will follow this season – including the Premier League title.
“I expect this year’s race to be as tight as the last but I have a feeling that Liverpool could pip their rivals to it.”
