Jamie Redknapp makes 2019/20 Premier League title prediction - and it's bad news for Tottenham

Former Tottenham and Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp has revealed who he thinks will lift the Premier League trophy during the upcoming campaign.

England’s top tier is as competitive as ever but it was Manchester City who edged Liverpool to top spot last season.

The Reds once held a seven-point lead at the top but soon fell to City’s relentless consistency, though their season didn’t end up without a trophy as they beat Tottenham Hotspur to win the Champions League.

Spurs competed for the Premier League crown until the turn of the year as both Man City and Liverpool pulled away.

Redknapp believes the top-two dominance of City and the Reds will continue this season but he is backing a different winner to come out on top.

Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea are all keen to become involved in the title race but the two aforementioned sides have shown no signs of slowing down.

Son Heung-min: Tottenham can improve on last season

“After missing out on the Premier League title by a single point to Manchester City, he (Jurgen Klopp) re-motivated his players and made sure they did not miss out on being crowned champions of Europe," Redknapp told the Daily Mail.

“That was Klopp’s first trophy with the club and I suspect more will follow this season, including the Premier League title.

“I expect this year’s race to be as tight as the last but I have a feeling that Liverpool could pip their rivals to it."
