Jamie Redknapp expecting 'real shock' when Leeds United head to trophy-chasing West Ham

Jamie Redknapp believes Sam Allardyce could earn his first victory in charge of Leeds United in the crucial upcoming clash at West Ham. The Whites sit a point adrift of safety with just two matches remaining, and know that relegation could be confirmed with defeat in the capital along with results going against them elsewhere.

Leeds ended a six-match losing streak with an improved display in the home draw with Newcastle United last time out. Allardyce was left to rue costly errors in defence with Magpies' number nine Callum Wilson scoring twice from the penalty spot in the 2-2 draw at Elland Road.

The Whites have won just twice on the road in the Premier League all season, but will look to capitalise on the Hammers' recent European excursions which saw them qualify for the Europa Conference League final after a second-leg win at AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night. Redknapp argues it could be a 'good time' to face David Moyes' side, and singled out the clash at the London Stadium as the 'big one' in the relegation battle this weekend.

Redknapp told Sky Sports: "That Leeds game is a big one. To go to West Ham, West Ham just got to their first major final....it might be a good time to play them. That might be the one that we might see a real shock, I think Leeds could possibly get something.

"Obviously Big Sam going back to West Ham where he was a manager, that's a big one."
