Harry Redknapp has said he is delighted that his son Jamie is expecting his third child.
Over the weekend, news surfaced that the former footballer is set to welcome a baby with girlfriend of 18 months Frida Andersson.
The exciting news began to circulate on social media but had not been confirmed by the family until now, according to The Mirror.
Talking about becoming a grandparent for the sixth time, Harry said: "'Yeah I'm really pleased, it's good news. So looking forward to that and it's exciting times,'
"I enjoy spending time with the grandkids, I love it, I really do,' he gushed during a TalkRadio interview with Julia Hartley-Brewer on Tuesday.
"Going to watch them play football and sport... I love being there and turning up and watching the kids and taking them to football on Saturday."
The baby will be Jamie's third child, with the football pundit also sharing sons Charley,16, and Beau, 12 with ex-wife Louise Redknapp.
While Frida, 37, also has four children with her ex-spouse, the multi-millionaire American hedge fund tycoon Jonathan Lourie.
Over the weekend, Frida sparked rumours that she was expecting a baby with Jamie as she responded to a number of followers that offered her their congratulations.
"Lovely news on your baby. Congratulations to you both," wrote one.
Frida then replied with three prayer hand emojis appearing to confirm the news.
The Redknapps are a tight-knit family with Harry being married to his teen sweetheart Sandra for over 50 years.
As well as son Jamie they are also parents to son Mark, who has three children Joe, Emilie, and Harry.
