Jamie Redknapp apologises to wife Frida over dad Harry's Christmas message to baby son

Jamie Redknapp has apologised to his wife, Frida Andersson, after dad Harry sent a cheeky message to grandson Raphael.

The 48-year-old former England footballer has been enjoying his newborn son's first Christmas Day with his sons, Charles and Beau, and parents Harry and Sandra.

Jamie shared an adorable pic of Harry holding Raphael in his arms for a festive cuddle, as he gazes at his grandson lovingly.

Harry, who was crowned the King of the Jungle in 2018 after winning I'm A Celebrity, made a cheeky quip about Frida's national football team.

In a video posted on social media, Harry can be heard telling Raphael: “Raph, if you’re in the garden with that football and you practice harder, if you are going to play for England, we need you to practice.”

He then jokingly tells Raphael that if he doesn’t practice, he will “play for Sweden”.

Jamie and Sandra can be heard laughing in the background at the quip but Frida doesn't see the funny side as much as she takes baby Raphael, who was born last month, out of shot.

Football pundit Jamie later posted on Instagram to his 1.4 million followers: "Harry’s Christmas message to Raphael!

"Sorry Frida. No offence Sweden. No offence Zlatan!”

On Christmas Day, Jamie shared a series of adorable family snaps as they celebrated the big day.

They were all smiles as paper crowns were worn and Jamie's eldest son cradled his baby brother.

Jamie captioned the pics: “Happy Christmas from the Redknapp’s. Hope you had the best day with your families.”

Many rushed to wish them season's salutations with some of Jamie's famous friends among the commenters.

Peter Crouch’s wife Abbey Clancy wrote: “Can’t believe we missed you xx Hope you all had a great day xx.”

Wayne Bridge, whose wife Frankie recently reached the final of I'm A Celebrity, added: “Happy Christmas geezer.”
