Jamie Oliver's massive net worth and heartbreaking family tragedies with wife Jools

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has been a household name for over two decades at this point - with himself and Gordon Ramsay being two of the first 'celebrity' chefs thanks to their work over the 90s.

Jamie has gotten plaudits for campaigning for better food for kids in school and encouraging millions of people to cook via the likes of the Ministry of Food, 15 Minute Meals and 30 Minute Meals.

This week, he's back on our screens with Jamie's One Pan Wonders - where he will, naturally, show viewers how to cook with minimum fuss and very little wash up.

However, the chef's cooking has landed him in some hot water recently, as he's faced backlash for the "cheap" recipes that he's been sharing.

Jamie's on-screen career has opened him up to a lot of criticism over the years and the wealthy chef has been labelled as "patronising".

However, it's not just his work life that Jamie has had struggles in, as he's recently faced some tragedy in his family life too.

Here's everything you need to know about Jamie Oliver's net worth and the tragedies he's faced with his wife.

What is Jamie Oliver's net worth?

The chef is currently estimated to be worth a massive €200million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

That makes sense when you consider the length of his career, the amount of restaurants and cookbooks he owns and has produced, as well as the endless amount of TV shows in his back catalogue.

A feature in nearly all of Jamie's cookbooks so far is his wife Jools - with the 'Jools Pasta' recipe a fan favourite too.

Jamie and Jools have a romantic love story; the pair are childhood sweethearts and met when they were just 17 years old while growing up in Essex.

The celebrity chef put in a lot of effort to woo Jools, who previously revealed on her Instagram that he had sent her love letters every single day when she spent three months in Japan as a teenager.

Revealing the adorable story to her followers, Jools said: "When I was 17 I worked in Tokyo for three months and every single day Jamie sent me a letter or a fax without fail!

"These are only half of them... brought back just the best and happiest memories."

The couple tied the knot in 2000 and have now been happily married for more than two decades.

Jools' battle with Long Covid and tragic miscarriages

Jamie and Jools have five children together and are notorious for giving their kids unusual names - Petal Blossom, Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo, Buddy Bear and River Rocket.

However, the adorable family have gone through some tough times together. Before the birth of their youngest child River, Jools experienced her first miscarriage.

She's now suffered a total of five miscarriages and is reported to be considering IVF treatment in hopes of a sixth child.

Opening up about her tragic losses on Zoe Clark-Coates' Life & Soul podcast, Jools said: "Once you have these miscarriages you are always like, this baby is meant to be here, I have to keep trying.

"So I have thought about IVF because having researched it and spoken to some amazing people, it seems like the right option for my age.

"But you know that it’s hard because also I’ve got a partner you know, I’ve got to think about him. I’m not so sure he’s that keen to do it that way. So I don’t want to push anything, because I’m very lucky."

Unfortunately, the hard times for Jools didn't end there, with Jamie opening up last month about his wife's "deeply scary" battle with Long Covid.
