Jamie Langfield slams SFA compliance officer and tells her to 'stop watching Sportscene'

Jamie Langfield has hit out at the SFA compliance officer and told her she should stop watching Sportscene.

'Trial by Sportscene' has been an accusation aimed at Clare Whyte on various occasions this season and St Mirren goalkeeping coach Langfield is the latest to be left unhappy.

Saints striker Duckens Nazon was cited after appearing to elbow Kristoffer Ajer during his side's defeat to Celtic on Wednesday night.

But Hoops skipper Scott Brown was let off with an alleged stamp on Jim Kellerman and Langfield is unimpressed with the compliance officer's decision to cite Nazon.

He tweeted: "The compliance officer needs to stop watching Sportscene. Put a good box set on or something, I recommend Line of Duty."

On Wednesday night's Sportscene, Michael Stewart and Steven Thompson were the pundits and both felt Brown's clash with Kellerman would only have been a yellow card.

They also felt Nazon would have been sent off if he had been caught by the referee.

Both players escaped punishment on the night but Nazon is set to get a two game ban, although he will be available for Saturday's game against Hamilton.
