Jamie Laing vows to swerve Strictly Curse as he promises girlfriend Sophie he won't cheat

Made In Chelsea love rat Jamie Laing has vowed he'll avoid the curse of Strictly Come Dancing when he returns to the show next month.

The reality star insists his co-star girlfriend Sophie Habboo has nothing to worry about.

Jamie - accused of cheating on a string of MIC women - insists he won’t become the latest contestant to hook up with a pro dancer.

McVities biscuit heir Jamie said: “I am being asked all the time about the Strictly curse and do you know poor Sophie had no clue about this whole curse thing.

"She had no idea that everyone couples up when they do Strictly Come Dancing.

“But hey listen, I don’t think I am a bad guy so I don’t think it will be too bad in the end.

“I am not going to kiss my dancer. It is not like I am going to be some magnet, you know? I don’t think the dancer is going to come anywhere near me.”

The Strictly Curse has seen a number of couples break-up.

Jamie was forced to pull out of the Strictly lineup last year when he injured his foot at the launch party (Empics Entertainment)

Its most recent victims include dancer Katya Jones, who was married to Neil Jones, but split a year after she was pictured snogging comedian Seann Walsh in-between training sessions.

In March 2019, Strictly champ Stacey Dooley, 32, split from her long-term boyfriend of three years.

They became the fourteenth couple to break up after one partner appeared on the hit show.

BBC documentary maker Stace is now in a relationship with her show partner Kevin Clifton, aka show romeo Kevin From Grimsby.
