Strictly's Jamie Laing has 'awesome abs' thanks to gruelling practice, says Karen Hauer

Strictly finalist Jamie Laing has put in the hard graft to make it to tonight's final - and he has the abs to prove it.

The Made In Chelsea veteran and sweets entrepreneur, 32, has become a fan favourite with his steady improvements week on week.

And tonight's show will see him take to the floor again to battle it out with Maisie Smith, HRVY and Bill Bailey.

Karen Hauer, Jamie's pro partner, couldn't be prouder of him - boasting she's "made of monster" with his newly muscled physique.

She was also chuffed to see him bounce back so many times after they found themselves in a number of dance offs.

Jamie Laing's now ripped thanks to Strictly training, according to Karen Hauer (Jamie Laing/Instagram)

Reflecting on her 2020 Strictly journey, Karen shared that she most values "the fact that I've made a friend, and I've made a machine now, because he's got awesome abs."

Jamie, meanwhile, noted that the show has been "one of the toughest things I've done in terms of physical and mental toughness."

"It's tough, but it's incredible," he added, "Training is what it has to be, just three times as hard because we've got three dances."

The Chelsea boy previously boasted that he's shed a full stone in the weeks since he started.

He told The Sun : "I can see my toes in the shower for the first time in ages! I had a pot belly when I started Strictly. That's gone now.

"I mean, I'm even getting abs, not as good as Karen's, her abs are like the eighth wonder of the world. But I'm getting there!

"I've lost over a stone now, which is insane. I honestly encourage anyone who wants to lose some weight to take up dancing!"

But it hasn't all been fun for Jamie - he suffered a "meltdown" backstage before tackling a tricky routine.

He told Metro : "I had one before doing the Samba. You go backstage and you get like five or 10 minutes to warm up before your dance.

"And I was backstage, trying to remember my steps and I couldn't remember any of them.

"I looked at Karen, and said: 'Karen, I've lost it. I lost it.' She said, 'Well, you better find it'.

"That was a bit of a meltdown, but we were fine."
