Jamie Genevieve launches Twitter campaign to bring back old school sweets including Irn-Bru bars

Scots beauty blogger Jamie Genevieve has launched a Twitter campaign to bring back her favourite old school sweets such as Irn-bru bars, Milky Bar Choos and also Mars Delights.

The 27-year-old went on a tweeting spree in a bid to bring back the sugary classics and fans couldn't agree more.

She wrote: "Hi @irnbru, long time fan. I think I speak on behalf of the masses we I beg you to bring back Irn Bru bars. We’ve all had a tough year but I think this would make 2020 not so bad. Thanks in advance x."

One fan said Jamie was like Willy Wonka (Twitter/ @Danifaetheshire)

And many of her followers backed Jamie's tweet.

One said: "Yesssss!!! It was my pregnancy craving 6 years ago and I’ve still not gotten over that i couldn’t get them!!! BRING THEM BACK BRING THEM BACK!!"

And another wrote: "would actually make 2020."

While one added: "OMGGGGGGG YES!!!! My brother and I loved these. We used to get them from the sports centre, 10 or 20p, we’d normally devour a fair few at a time too."

Jamie then turned her attention to Milky Bar Choos, she wrote: "Hi @MilkybarUKI, could you please bring back Milkybar Choo’s? I think about them most days."

And Milky Bar responded to Jamie's request, letting her down gently. They said: "Hey Jamie the Milkybar Choo Train has left the station! CHOO CHOO! We have no plans to bring it back at the moment but we will let the team how much you'd like to see it happen."

Fans were so delighted with Jamie's 'hard graft' that one even branded her Willy Wonka.

Another said: "We're making progress of some sort here Jamie..... But I'mma need you to up the ante if you can."

"The kind of influencer we need", one penned.

And finally, the tattooed beauty reached out to Mars to request the return of Mars Delight bars.

She said: "Hi @MarsGlobal, I would like to request the return of the Mars Delight please. I will come to the chocolate factory and make them myself if needed. Thank you x."

Which old school sweet would you like to see back on the shelves?
