Jamie Foxx is 'recovering well' after worrying medical emergency, family member says

Jamie Foxx is said to be "recovering well" after suffering a "medical complication".

The 55-year-old actor was rushed to hospital two months ago after experiencing an undisclosed health scare while on set of his upcoming Netflix film Back In Action.

Jamie was later released from hospital before being admitted to a physical rehabilitation facility in Chicago.

He was said to be getting "round-the-clock" treatment at the centre, with his family having being pictured spending time with the Django Unchained star.

One of Jamie's family members has now said the actor is on the road to recovery, but admitted the worrying medical emergency might have an impact on his Hollywood career.

Speaking to Page Six, the family member said Jamie is "recovering well", but said the future of his upcoming movie Back In Action is up in the air.

They also said there is mounting concern that the silence surrounding Jamie's health scare could affect his acting career.

Jamie's family have remained tight lipped about the medical emergency, however, his daughter Corinne Foxx did reveal back in May that her father was now well enough to play pickle ball.

Taking to Instagram to share the news with fans, she said: "Update from the family. Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.

"In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!"

Corinne added: "Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"

The latest news about Jamie's condition comes after his co-star John Boyega claimed that "no one has heard from him" since before he was rushed to hospital.

Attending the movie premiere for They Cloned Tyrone, John revealed: "No one has heard from Jamie," in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight.

He added: "I wanted him to show up here, but you know, I know he's dealing with what he's dealing with. I just wish him all the best."

John then said: "I've been calling, I'm just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on Jamie!"
