Jamie Carragher has explained why he picked Tottenham star Heung-min Son over Liverpool's Mohamed Salah in his team of the season.
As is tradition on the final Monday Night Football of the campaign, pundits Carragher and Gary Neville name their best XIs.
Salah has again impressed despite Liverpool's struggles this season, scoring 20 league goals in 33 games to trail Harry Kane by just one.
But it was Kane's team-mate Son who got the nod from former Red, Carragher, due to a more impressive all-round game.
"I went for Son," said Carragher. "I was thinking about Mo Salah being the top goal scorer, but Son, I was thinking about goals and assists, Son has more than Salah combined.
"Obviously Salah takes penalties, but Kane is the penalty taker, so that’s the reason for Son.
"Next to Son I've gone with Harry Kane, both of their numbers are brilliant considering they've played most of the season in a team which is defensive."
Speaking about Son, Neville added: "I had Son in at one point, but over the last couple of months, and I love Son as a player, but he’s disappointed me.
"I can't get that Carabao Cup final out of my head. Spurs were really disappointing and it's carried with me a little bit, he shouldn’t do, because he's a brilliant player. An exceptional talent, but I changed him at the last minute."
