Jamie Carragher teases Gary Neville after 'six-day bender' following Champions League final

Jamie Carragher made sure he had the last laugh after sharing the screen with long-term rival and friend Gary Neville for the first since Liverpool‘s Champions League win.

The Liverpool man, who joked he was recovering from a ‘six-day bender’ following his former club’s success in Madrid, grasped the opportunity to get one over Neville as the two men previewed England’s Nations League clash against the Netherlands.

It was initially Neville who got the ball rolling, joking that Carragher “hasn’t been home or slept since the Champions League final”.

Carragher subsequently asks whether Neville has slept, to which the former Manchester United right-back replies: “No. I’ve been hiding.”

The Liverpudlian proceeds to take a dig at Neville’s attire – “he’s gone Shakin’ Stevens, double denim!” – while the United legend responds by comparing his old England teammate to Liam Gallagher “after a three-day bender”.

Carragher jokes back that “mine was a six (day bender)”.

And when Carragher asks him how he feels about Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Champions League final, Neville replies: “I’ve got nothing to say at all. In fact, let’s move on.

“England have got a massive game here tomorrow. I’m looking for more professionalism from Sky Sports pundits and presenters.”

As you were, lads.
