Jamie Carragher sends blunt Liverpool message to Sadio Mane amid Bayern Munich transfer rumours

Jamie Carragher has told Sadio Mane he won't be leaving Liverpool this summer - or 'he will have me to deal with'.

Mane scored the winner on Tuesday night as the Reds came from behind to beat Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa 2-1.

Villa took the lead just three minutes into the game but were pegged back immediately when Joel Matip equalised. And the Senegalese's second-half header from a Luis Diaz cross secured the three points to send Jurgen Klopp's side level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

Mane has been in spectacular form this season, scoring 15 goals in 33 league appearances, as well as five goals in the UEFA Champions League to help the Reds reach the final against Real Madrid.

However, with just over a year left on his Anfield contract, clubs such as Bayern Munich, as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona, have been linked with a move for his services.

But Carragher has warned the German giants that Mane will not be allowed to leave Merseyside.

"As a Liverpool fan when I watch the team play, he is the one I watch," Carragher told Sky Sports. "Even though [Mohamed] Salah has the numbers and wins the Golden Boot, there is something about Mane. We mentioned sacrificing himself for different times, and the shift he puts in.

"But not just Mane, Salah as well, five years they have been doing that. They are never injured, touch wood. They are there week in, week out, getting their numbers up, and what they have done for this football club is unbelievable.

"For me, I love Sadio Mane and I can assure you that he is going nowhere because I will not let him go to Bayern Munich. He will have me to deal with!"
