Jamie Carragher's response to Gary Neville after Liverpool legend is hammered for Soccer Aid 2019 error

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher returned to the football field on Sunday evening as he started for England against the Rest of the World XI in Soccer Aid 2019 - and it has provided some hilarious results.

The former centre-back had to deal with the talents of Olympic winning sprinter Usain Bolt from the start and was marked up against him for the entire first half.

Bolt obviously had an ill-fated attempt to become a professional footballer but against a retired Carragher , it was always going to be a test for the Liverpool great turned Sky Sports pundit.

However, Carragher dealt well with the Jamaican early on as England took the lead thanks to a brace from football freestyler Jeremy Lynch, who plays professionally in Vietnam.

But Carragher made a hilarious mistake just before the break when he misjudged a ball through which went over his head and into the path of Bolt, who produced a fine left-footed finish.

Carragher was naturally hammered on Twitter for the mistake, with Manchester United legend and fellow pundit Gary Neville even coming out of a self-imposed social media break to criticise his Sky Sports' colleague.

However, before the second half began, Carragher replied on Twitter with a funny response. The ex-Liverpool defender improved in the second half at Stamford Bridge.
