Jamie Carragher's request for Liverpool after nervy Brighton victory

Liverpool may have moved 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but that hasn’t stopped Jamie Carragher sending a message to the club’s stars.

Two placed Jurgen Klopp’s side in total control at Anfield, but turned the game on its head.

Just over 10 minutes were remaining when the stopper raised his arm to stop what looked to be a certain goal outside his box.

Leandro Trossard, after racing clear, looked destined to score, but Becker’s handball prevented him from doing so.

The former Roma man was then given his marching orders after a VAR review, and from the resulting free-kick, Lewis Dunk reduced the arrears.

And despite the Reds holding firm to maintain their unbeaten start to their domestic campaign, the Reds icon took to Twitter post-match to plead with Liverpool’s stars for a relaxed finish to a game at some point this season.

He wrote: “FFS!!! Can we have a nice relaxed last 20 mins at some stage this season please @LFC #LIVBHA.”

Liverpool return to Premier League action against Everton on Wednesday night.
