Jamie Carragher’s five-word response to Liverpool winner sums up euphoric feeling

Liverpool yet again were left feeling delirious following a late winner in the Premier League.

The Reds looked odds-on to drop points in the race for the title when Lucas Moura levelled the contest and cancelled out Roberto Firmino’s opener.

But just like in the Merseyside Derby earlier this season, Liverpool earned themselves a fortunate winning goal.

Mohamed Salah headed towards goal and all Spurs’ keeper Hugo Lloris could do was parry the ball into to the path of Thomas Alderweireld, who kicked the ball into his own net.

It was a lucky moment for Liverpool and certainly not a goal for Salah, who endured his eighth successive game without a goal to his name.

But that didn’t stop Liverpool legend turned Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher jumping in and grabbing the microphone during the commentary and lauding Salah.

“Mo Salah you little dancer,” screamed Carragher after the goal which gave Liverpool a two-point lead in the Premier League title race.

The Reds now have just six games remaining in the league this season, with City having seven. However, that match in hand for City does come at Manchester United on Wednesday, April 24.
