Jamie Carragher rips Tottenham apart in brutal analysis Nuno Espirito Santo won't want to hear

Tottenham were comprehensively beaten for a third time in a row in the Premier League on Sunday, losing 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates in the first North London Derby of the season.

Three first half goals put the game to bed and piled the pressure further on Nuno Espirito Santo after 3-0 defeats at the hands of Crystal Palace and Chelsea in the weeks prior.

While Arsenal played well, Tottenham were utterly uninspired for the entire game, barring Son Heung-min's goal, and the fans will want to see a significant improvement in the coming weeks.

Jamie Carragher was not impressed with what he saw either, particularly calling Espirito Santo's midfield into question, as well as the manager's instructions to them.

"It was always coming. Ben White wins a challenge again against Harry Kane. Harry Kane wasn’t at the races, really not acceptable his performance, he got bullied," the Liverpool legend said on Monday Night Football.

"Where is Dele Alli going? What is he thinking to make that run into that position? When the ball dropped down, they’re running straight at the Tottenham defence.

"They got away with it [before the goal] now they didn’t, they’re not running back Hojbjerg and Ndombele, Dele Alli does okay because he was higher up the pitch.

"I don’t think I’ve ever seen this in my life, Ndombele, Dele Alli and Hojbjerg, there’s less space on the moon than in that Spurs midfield on Sunday it’s unbelievable to see.

"There’s no midfield, the manager in someway must’ve told them where to go. They’re weak."

Next up for Spurs is a clash with Slovenian side NS Mura in the Europa Conference League.
