Jamie Carragher perfectly sums up Liverpool's weekend as Gary Neville fumes on Manchester United

Liverpool enjoyed what some might call the perfect weekend of results after Saturday's victory over Leicester was followed by defeats for both Manchester City and Manchester United.

The Reds are now eight points clear at the top of the Premier League after City's defeat to Wolves and United's woeful display at Newcastle leaves them just two points above the relegation zone.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher certainly seemed to enjoy his weekend.

The Sky Sports pundit posted a pint of Carlsberg on his Instagram page with the caption "If CARLSBERG did weekends" in reference to the favourable results for Liverpool.

It was a less enjoyable weekend for Carra's fellow pundit Gary Neville .

The former Manchester United defender reacted to another defeat for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's side and directed his anger towards the club's owners.

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford after the international break looking to extend their winning run in the Premier League to 18 games.

Carragher will be hoping for another perfect weekend when he and Neville host Sky's Super Sunday in two weeks' time.
