Jamie Carragher on what Gary Neville is going to do if and when Liverpool win Premier League title

Liverpool are in pole position to secure the club's first league title in three decades.

They're 22 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table - a lead no team in the history of English top-flight football has held.

There are 13 games left to play in the domestic competition and the Reds need to win just six of those to guarantee themselves the title, no matter what anyone else does.

The Premier League trophy looks all but set to arrive at Anfield this term but rival fans, it seems, are dreading the day in fear it could spark a dynasty at Liverpool - the likes of which were last seen in the 1970s and 80s.

Even those who aren't fearing dominance from the Reds are still very unhappy at the fact Liverpool are going to finally place a Premier League crown on their head to complete their already incredible collection of trophies containing every other title available to them.

And one man who is set to take a Liverpool league victory harder than most is Gary Neville.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, who is now a star pundit on Sky Sports alongside former Manchester United player Neville, explained that his former on-pitch rival is planning to get a flight as far away as he can on the day the Reds lift the Premier League trophy.

Carragher told the ECHO in jest: "He's looking at flights to Papua New Guinea - he just can't book them yet as he doesn't know what day we're going to win the league.

"He's holding off and the plane is full of Evertonians at the moment anyway!"
