Jamie Carragher names Man City Premier League fixture that Liverpool FC fans 'are looking at'

James Carragher believes that the Manchester derby is the game that Liverpool fans will be looking at as a potential decider in the Premier League title race.

Man City and Liverpool are neck and neck at the top of the table, with City currently leading by a single point after a comfortable 2-0 victory over relegation fodder Fulham.

Liverpool have the chance to leapfrog the Blues once again on Sunday when they face Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, but do so knowing any slip up will hand City a massive advantage going into the last few games of the season.

Reds legend Carragher believes his former side have the easier run, with only Chelsea out of the big six left to face after the Spurs clash.

Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp makes bold Man City Premier League prediction

Whereas City have to play Tottenham themselves and face-off against fierce rivals Manchester United, a game which Carragher thinks could swing the title race.

"I think it will go down to the wire," the former defender told Sky Sports.

"Liverpool have the tougher fixtures over the next two or three weeks. If they come out the other side of that in the same position, they can force City to have to win at Old Trafford.

"I think that’s what a lot of Liverpool fans are looking at – that game at Old Trafford."

Carragher also says that the dilemma United fans face with their two biggest rivals potentially writing history may play a factor.

He said: "I know Manchester United fans are desperate for Liverpool not to win the league but City have a great chance of winning the Quadruple which would topple United’s Treble from ’99.

"It’s a big dilemma for United fans. Would you rather Liverpool win the league or City win the Quadruple? Hopefully a lot of them may change their opinions and try to get a decent result against City."
