It was an incredible evening for the 21-year-old right-back, who also produced two assists at the King Power Stadium.
And Carragher only had praise for his former side as he took to Twitter, celebrating their success.
He said: "That performance from @LFC sums up their season, they always raise their game in the big games and do enough in the others.
"Best team in the world at the moment and their playmaker is from West Derby!"
