Here is your Leeds United digest for Saturday, February 6.
Carragher gives rating
Jamie Carragher has admitted that pundits have often forgotten that Leeds United are still a newly-promoted team.
Speaking to Sky Sports Super 6, Carragher said that Marcelo Bielsa's side are doing well this season in the face of over-expectation from some.
He said: "I am going to go B+. It’s a funny one, Leeds. I think some people feel Leeds get too much appreciation, but I think sometimes we forget they are a promoted team.
"When I hear people criticise and say Bielsa gets too much praise, maybe we do praise Bielsa, maybe not too much but more than other managers in the situation because he is different, he is new to the league, he has got an interpreter, he has got more mystic about him."
Zaha ruled out
Roy Hodgson has confirmed a blow for Crystal Palace ahead of Monday night's game against Leeds.
Palace will be without talisman Wilfried Zaha for the game, with Hodgson revealing the nine-goal forward has suffered a hamstring injury.
"I'm afraid it's a hamstring injury. We don't know how long it will keep him out, but certainly this weekend and possibly much longer.
"It would be totally unrealistic to expect him to take part this weekend."
Bielsa reflects on retirement plans
Marcelo Bielsa admits it is impossible to know whether he will be managing at the same age as Roy Hodgson.
Former England boss Hodgson is Bielsa's senior by eight years and the Leeds boss says his opposite number should be respected for this.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Bielsa said he cannot say if he will be doing the same.
He said: "It's very difficult to predict or calculate what’s going to happen in eight years.
"The career of Roy Hodgson only deserves praise, recognition. To have the desire to extend his career so long is something to admire. Not only to do it, but to do it well."
