Jamie Carragher makes Jadon Sancho prediction ahead of Manchester United vs Leeds United

Jamie Carragher believes Leeds United could face one of the signings of the season in their opening round of Premier League fixtures.

The former Liverpool defender believes Leeds will have their work cut out coming up against Red Devils new boy Jadon Sancho.

The 21-year-old signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford this summer and has been one of the major transfers across Europe this summer.

Carragher was speaking to UMM for the launch of ‘Football Fandom 2021’, a new report commissioned by Sky Sports to explore how fans follow the game ahead of the start of the domestic football season.

“I actually think the acquisition of Sancho is a really good signing. I think Varane has been brilliant for Real Madrid next to Ramos” said Carragher.

“But I actually think Sancho is a better signing for Man Utd long term."

The former Borussia Dortmund winger completed his first training session with the Red Devils earlier this week after making his move from Dortmund earlier this summer.

Sancho is reportedly in line to make his debut for the club against Leeds this weekend - with French World Cup winner Raphael Varane also poised to sign for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and he could feature against the Whites.
