Jamie Carragher may be best of buddies with his old Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard but it hasn't stopped him claiming Celtic's Odsonne Edouard is a better striker than Rangers' Alfredo Morelos.
The Hoops striker has racked up 21 goals and 12 assists in 27 games this season and is many pundits' favourite for Player of the Year awards.
Colombian Morelos has also had a fine season, scoring 29 times in 46 games, with 10 assists.
But his form did take a dramatic dip after the winter break where he only scored once as his team struggled to resume their early season form.
Carragher was asked who is the best player on social media platform Instagram and responded honestly.
He said: “Edouard, the Celtic striker.”
Reacting to concern at what his hot-headed former teammate might say, the Sky pundit jokingly assured punters the Rangers manager wouldn't see his post before adding that the Rangers' strikers disciplinary issues helped him make a decision.
He added: “He’ll be in bed Stevie (Gerrard), don’t worry about it. Morelos gets sent off too much.”
Morelos was red carded on five occasions last season and had been sent off twice this term before the shutdown.
