Jamie Carragher gives x-rated response to question over possible 'fight' with Gary Neville

Jamie Carragher has continued his back and forth with fellow Sky Sports pundit and former rival Gary Neville.

The pair have taken their playful feud from the pitch to the television screens as they both frequently feature as part of their Premier League coverage. While their rivalry may have cooled in recent years since they hung up their boots, it hasn't stopped the age-old banter between the Red halves of Manchester and Liverpool.

At the end of 2022, both Carragher and Neville had their say on an imaginary bout when building up to Liam Smith's fight with Chris Eubank Jr - as the former Reds defender picked Jurgen Klopp to beat Pep Guardiola.

The Liverpool boxer, Smith, will step foot in the ring this weekend for his fight and the ex-defender was at the Trafford Centre in Greater Manchester for the live workouts.

Carragher was asked by BOXXER on TikTok about which footballer he'd love to fight and of course, he picked his old foe sending a stark warning.

"Oh, it would have to be Gary Neville. I'd knock f**** out of him," Carragher joked, laughing as he walked away.

Speaking to IFL TV, the 44-year-old said: "I've asked him but he hasn't come back to me yet, I'm still waiting for the answer."

It isn't the first time that the possibility of a Liverpool vs Man United fight has been mentioned. During the coverage of the Reds win over the Foxes, it came up.

"I'd do them [Carragher and Smith] at once," Neville quipped. "I just need Phil [Neville] with me."
