Jamie Carragher explains why Man Utd are his favourites to beat Arsenal

Jamie Carragher is confident home advantage will work in Manchester United's favour against Arsenal, and that the Red Devils will come out on top.

Three points separate Arsenal and United in the Premier League, with both clubs struggling to get out of second gear so far this season.

United have looked light up top in recent weeks while the Gunners have been far from their best defensively, suggesting Monday night's game will be a close contest.

But Carragher reckons United can get the job done, and is predicting the Red Devils to beat Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford, with home advantage playing a big part in the victory.

"I think the Manchester United team and supporters are very pessimistic going into the game and I can understand it was really poor last week, obviously what happened against Rochdale," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"But it is still Old Trafford and it's still a big thing for teams to go there. I think there was talk of Leicester going there a few weeks ago and that they were going to beat Man United.

"It's not easy to go to Old Trafford, it doesn't matter what team, it's still Manchester United and Arsenal's record is really poor away from home, we know that, even going back to Arsene Wenger - Unai Emery hasn't changed that, certainly in the big games.

"If Manchester United can get Paul Pogba on the pitch and Marcus Rashford and they're not completely decimated; if United have got a half decent side I think Manchester United will beat them."
